Dr. Marie Chase is a Northern California native, originally from the Sacramento area. After attending university in Southern California, she has returned home to settle in the Bay. She has been an animal lover from a young age, spending many summers hanging around the horse barn and competing with her Dutch Warmblood, Bo. She attended Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo for her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, then graduated from the Western University of Health Sciences’ College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. After graduation, she completed a small animal internship and spent a year in emergency and critical care medicine. Dr. Chase has now decided to focus on general practice medicine and is so excited to join the LAVC team!

While Dr. Chase enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, her professional interests include internal medicine, urgent care, and feline medicine. Dr. Chase lives in Santa Clara with her husband, sassy tortoiseshell Lily, and Russian tortoise Sherman - she is currently between horses! She enjoys reading, horseback riding, and camping in California’s beautiful parks.
